The 411 on traveling to Australia in September

Australia is a great country to visit year round. From the beaches to the wineries, there are sights that you can’t see anywhere else in the world.

With it approaching autumn in the west, Australia will soon be experiencing spring. During this month, the country will start to see the regrowth of flowers and leaves on the trees.

The weather in most of Australia is cool, around 68 degrees Fahrenheit so you will want to bring a light jacket or some long-sleeved t-shirts. Rain is generally light and infrequent which makes it conducive for walking tours and other outdoor activities.

Here are a few great options on how to make for a great trip to the “land down under”:

Many areas of the country enjoy flower festivals as thousands come together to look at the various beautiful colors the flowers bring to the grounds. One highlight you sure don’t want to miss is the Perth Wildflower Festival which takes place at Kings Park and Botanic Garden.

If you plan on driving though Sydney, you may want to rent-a-car from Budget car hire and take-in the Bowral Tulip Time festival which begins September 20th and runs through October 3rd. This is a must see for any Tulip fanatic.

If you are a rugby or football fan (Australian rules, of course) you will definitely want to take in a playoff or finals match as both seasons are coming to a close. Tickets though may be scarce so you definitely want to plan ahead!
